Except medical college institutes, no other healthcare facilities follow standard protocol in patient management. With JCI accreditation, now big healthcare players are forced to follow the treatment protocols. As long as these are not implemented, in most of the cases there will be no rationale in patient management. Doctors may prescribe a higher generation antibiotics though the disease can be managed by lower generation antibiotics. It takes several decades to bring in standards in Indian set up.
